Kevan Crowe

Kevan CroweOperations Manager

I joined Sharpfibre in the Autumn of 2000 initially as a specialist sprayer, but with my extensive knowledge of the Fire Protection industry I was soon ushered into a supervisory role where I worked on several large Canary Wharf projects.

Promoted to a Project Manager in 2005 and worked on a some of the company’s most iconic projects including the White City Shopping Centre for Westfields, Limeburner Lane Substation for Laing O’Rourke, Battersea Power Station for Carillion, and Southbank Place for Canary Wharf Contractors. Moved into the sales department in 2017 to utilise my site experience and knowledge in pricing and winning the majority of the company’s Durasteel projects.

March 2020 saw me back in Operations in the role of Operations Manager. Here I hope to share my 32 years experience within the Fire Protection industry to the rest of the team.

I have 2 grown up sons who love sports and when I’m not watching them play football or cricket, I spend much of my spare time playing golf.

Ricky Mann

Ricky MannProject Manager

I joined Sharpfibre in 2001 just before for the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Centre, which caused site chaos on the tower we were spraying. This was HQ5 Canary Wharf or the Clifford Chance building as it is now. We had to evacuate site immediately.

Since then I have worked in site supervision and subsequently within Quality Inspection for a number of projects in all disciplines of fire protection. Many of these projects were across the Canary Wharf estate but also Charles deGaulle Airport in Paris and the Jack Lynch tunnel in Cork. More recently I have moved into projects Management for Sharpfibre and have a numerous projects including the £2m fire protection package on the 27 storey One Bank Street building at Canary Wharf. Outside of work I have recently become the father to my little boy Cobey

Ian LawrenceLogistics Manager

I started at Sharpfibre in June 2005 as delivery driver where my duties included delivering to the various sites in and around London.

In 2006 I undertook forklift driver training, I subsequently had PAT test training and now PAT test all electrical equipment, power tools / plant before it is sent to site.

I am now responsible for procurement of PPE for the company and other fixings, frames and stock materials for the warehouse. Promoted to Logistics Manager in 2013, where I took on responsibility for hired in plant and the plant invoicing.

Sharpfibre is a great company to work for, I joined with no experience in fire protection, but working with my colleagues for these years I have gained a good knowledge of what we do at Sharpfibre.
