Sharpfibre Participate In ASFP Regional Seminars

Sharpfibre are honoured to be taking part in a series of ASFP regional seminars, with the most recent taking place on 22nd January.  Held in Sunderland in conjunction with the Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service at their headquarters, the event was the second of several scheduled under the title Understanding Passive Fire Protection, with the first seminar held in Manchester back in September.  

Our Director of Sales and Marketing, Gareth Dean, is representing Shaprfibre at the seminars.  Sharpfibre’s role within the seminars is to provide an overview of passive fire protection from the perspective of a specialist fire contractor, which is delivered through an in-depth case study.  

The events have proven extremely popular and have been oversubscribed, with the audience of the Sunderland based seminar including representation from Building Control, Main Contractors, the Utilities, Local Authorities, the Scottish Parliament and the NHS.  

The Sunderland event had more speakers than the first seminar in Manchester, with the full list of presentations and issues discussed provided below:

The specialist fire contractor’s perspective – a case study

The next scheduled seminar is due to take place in London on 20th March 2014 at the London Fire and Rescue headquarters, followed by one on 8th April 2014 at the South Wales Fire and Rescue headquarters in Cardiff.  

Further seminars are planned, although dates are yet to be confirmed.  It is expected that a Belfast seminar will be held in May, Scotland in June and Bradford in July.
